When you have a busy schedule, barely find the time to snoop around to see what's on, there are certain apps that make planning and snooping fun. Fever is one of my favourite apps out there to scout new events, seek discounts and get an idea of the London vibe for the upcoming days and weeks ahead. You'll get to learn about hot events before anybody else and also unique experiences to share in your social media and social circle if you can keep one eye on the app regularly. I also use this app for when I want a day off from work and want to do something special for that day. Just go online, see what's happening, book your ticket and voila!
Visit London's motto is "Let's Do London" and they surely do. The first rule of being a Londoner is actually knowing the basic attractions as well as the sassy events. I try to enjoy my city wherever I live as a tourist once a year. I take a day off of work, walk around in the city, go to the touristic locations, take photos, have local food and just be a tourist for the day. We tend to forget the beauty of a city when we live in it for too long. If you feel like today is your tourist day with your camera strapped around you and a nice cup of cold brew, go on Visit London to see which attraction fits your mood and end the day with an event from the "What's On" list to feel like a true Londoner again.
Despite its name, Secret London is not so secret anymore. With great content on social media, its website and app always fill me with joy. Newest Italian restaurant in town, newly erected statute of Princess Diana, pop up wine trucks, news on our own gentoo penguin chick in London can all be found in Secret London. This group gives me the true London feeling and I would set it aside with its Instagram content and give aways. This is a must follow account for a daily dose of happiness.
Who does not know the brand Time Out? Time Out London is a must-have when it comes to taking time out or time in in London. The platform offers information and news on events and local life just as well as the other apps but I think what is most unique is that it also offers ideas on things to do indoors with a twist. Some incredible content includes virtual events, London themes for the next zoom party, theatre shows to stream at home and podcast suggestions to only name a few. Time Out's Time In is the best source to keep your sanity intact if you're self-isolating or just feeling like taking it slow in the comfort of your home for the day.
